POWER PACK The Power pack generates a d.c output current. The need for the plating process in approx. 1 A/sq.cm. The voltage range is 5 - 25 Volts. The rectifiers are equiped with polarity reversal switching, ampere-hour meter, voltage- and ampere meters and safety cut-off device for component security. Standard Power pack sizes are available from 10 Amps up to 500 Amps. SOLUTIONS Solutions are used for electrolytic cleaning, etching and for activating metallic surfaces. For the build-up any of approximately 70 metal solutons are available. The most common metals are Nickel, Cobalt, Copper and different alloys and precious metals, eg. Gold, Silver and Palladium. ANODES The anodes used for selective plating are made of very pure graphite or plastic with platinised titanium shaped to fit the plating area. The anodes are covered with an absorbent material to provide a saturated media between the anode and the workpice. |
